Why I wear the yellow band everyday

This year has seen a great number of “greats” retiring from their respective sports but most went out with some amount of pomp and show.Lance Armstrong left without any fanfare but he did leave behind an empty space in the world of road racing. He won the most gruelling race,The Tour De France a record 7 times. He dominated the sport from 1999 upto his retirement in 2005.He beagan his career as a triathelete and found his niche in cycling. His career took an apparent blow when in 1996 he was diagnosed with testicular cancer that spread to his lungs and brain. He lived upto his name of being a fighter.Lance turned his weakness into his strength and won his battle against cancer. He made his comback into the cycling world in 1999 by winning the Tour De France. There was no looking back for Lance after that!He has been criticised for allegedly using performance enhancing drugs but he has been cleared of all charges.Lance Armstrong will be remembered not only for his exceptional talent, strength and rare athletic physical attributes but also for his “never say die” attitude and his fight against cancer. His LIVESTRONG bands in collaboration with Nike intended to support cancer victims and survivors and to raise awareness about cancer has taken the world by storm. The yellow band is symbolic of the winners jersey in the race.Yellow is symoblic of the sun.His goal to wake up and see the sun everymorning and now the sun has set on the ARMSTRONG ERA yet the glow will never die out.Thas the man I believe in.Thats the kind of person I want to be.And thats why I wear the yellow band everyday.LIVESTRONG!

nice! makes sense to talk about lance armstrong, since so many idiots just wear fake rubber bands to be "cool".

I wish you could have said more about why you wear the band, cause I think you have a lot more to say :)
All these bands people wear, so few of them know why they do...
